My Mission

While the fitness and health industry is saturated with “influencers” and individuals who self-proclaim to be experts of health, fitness, and wellness, I am a coach and leader who lives the lifestyle I preach and advocate for my clients and others to practice. I am committed to providing the best service and strive to continually learn and become increasingly astute in my craft.

 

My mission is to bring awareness to the level of personal responsibility necessary to offset the reliance on the fragile and exhausted healthcare system in the United States. The U.S. adult obesity rate stands at 42.4%, the first time the national rate has passed the 40%, and further evidence of the country’s obesity crisis. The national adult obesity rate has increased by 26% since 2008. The COVID-19 Pandemic was our healthcare system’s pressure test, and we now see how taxed and vulnerable populations are when unhealthy lifestyle choices and disease are at play. I also recognize the mental health benefits of consuming nutrient-dense foods and physical movement; the goal is to be both sound in body and mind.

 

How do I do this? I approach physical training from a functional and progressive standpoint, emphasizing the importance of proportionality in body composition, specifically the lean muscle mass-to-body fat ratio for men and women. This aids in the prevention of lifestyle diseases and disorders commonly seen today, such as metabolic resistance/syndrome (obesity, high cholesterol, hypertension, leading to heart disease, stroke, and Type II Diabetes). In conjunction with intentional physical exercise, a balanced diet that is limited in highly processed, sugar-rich, and nutrient-lacking foods serves to promote a strong immune system, cognitive function, and a happier life overall.
