I spoke with student doctor Thali Torres to explore stress's physiological and psychological impacts, emphasizing the importance of managing stress for longevity and preventing chronic diseases, such as exercise, nutrition and dietary approaches, diagnostic testing and more.
Thali Torres is a dedicated chiropractic student, entrepreneur, and advocate for women’s health and neurology. Growing up as a military brat, she traveled to 13 countries across three continents, gaining a broad perspective on global health and wellness. Her journey into the health field began in 2015, where she has worked in corporate and small business gyms, a massage clinic, a medical research facility, and as a clinical technician in a hospital. She earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from George Mason University and spent 2.5 years as a chiropractic assistant before pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine at National University of Health Sciences - Florida.
Thali has attended numerous chiropractic conferences and seminars, focusing on adjusting techniques that directly stimulate the nervous system and is on her way to becoming a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist. While her personal experience with cannabis was solely as a consumer up until September 2023, she made the decision to abstain from both cannabis and alcohol for brain health optimization, aligning with her commitment to evidence-based practices.
She is the COO of Neuro Power Corp and Neuro Power 4 Women, a wellness center and online platform dedicated to optimizing metabolic, neuronal, and hormonal health for women and their families. She also helps run Neuro Power Labs, a premier supplement company supporting brain and body wellness. Additionally, Thali is a Market Partner for MONAT, a clean, non-toxic beauty brand that formulates clinically backed, non-endocrine-disrupting products. This aligns seamlessly with her mission to promote hormone-safe and evidence-based wellness solutions.
Currently in her final year of chiropractic school, she is working toward integrating neuroscience based care with women’s health, movement science, and longevity practices.
List of Credentials & Education Background:
B.S. in Kinesiology from GMU
Functional and Kinetic Treatment and Rehab certified
3rd year Chiropractic Medicine Program Student
COO of Neuro Power 4 Women & Neuro Power Labs
Fun Fact:
Thali met her partner, who is a chiropractor, at a The National FCA conference in 2023, which is the biggest yearly chiro conference. What makes it even more special? His birthday is 7/22—the exact date she journaled about manifesting success in her career and being open to love.
Thali likes to share that this experience highlights a fascinating neuroscientific phenomenon known as the Reticular Activating System (RAS)—the brain’s built-in filter that prioritizes information aligning with your focus and goals. By writing down her vision, Thali activated her RAS, making her more attuned to recognizing opportunities and connections that aligned with her aspirations. In other words, what we focus on becomes more visible in our reality—science-backed "manifestation."
